St Agnes Dental Practice was established in the heart of St Agnes in the 1960s by Bernard McMahon with his wife, Monika. Having moved to the current location in York House in 1969, we still look after many of the same patients who visited then. Steve and Maggie Murgatroyd took over the practice in 1999 and grew it to the 4 surgery practice we know today. Since 2019 their daughter, Jenna Murgatroyd has been at the helm and she continues to uphold the same high standards of dentistry and patient care for which St Agnes Dental Practice is known.
We have a whole team of well-trained staff and clinicians and offer a wide range of NHS and private treatments. We continue to support the cause for NHS dentistry and hope this may continue for a long time. We have had to make significant changes in order to continue to look after our thousands of patients during the course of the pandemic. Please see our Covid-19 page for more information but do give us a call if you think that we can help with any queries.
Jenna is the Practice Principal. Having graduated from dentistry in Cardiff in 2009 she spent 8 years serving as a Royal Navy Dental Officer providing dental care for military personnel in all environments across the world. She completed her Naval career in 2017 at the rank of Surgeon Lieutenant Commander to move back to Cornwall. She is now also involved in the clinical supervision of fourth year undergraduate students at Peninsula Dental School.
Jenna is the current Chair of the Local Dental Committee, supporting and representing dentists across the whole of Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.
